TALAKAYAN EXPERIENCE

April 17, 2010 (Saturday)

We became part of the TALAKAYAN and it was a worthwile experience. We have tackled a lot of issues regarding to Church, Politics, Environment, and Sex Education. Issues about Marriage Contract expiration was also mentioned in the program. Fr. Angel give his insights and opinions in the issue about the Coal Fire Power Plant that this medium can cause a long term destructive effect, and those effect are the emmission of smoke.

Another issue tackled was about technology, the use of networking sites like Facebook, Friendster, Blogs etc. According to Fr. Angel, this modern technologies are the wonderful gifts from God, however, we are all responsible in our actions this topic is part of the World Day of Communication. He elaborated some points and purposes of this technology, this is a medium for finding friends, respect, to spread current issues, especially the Good News of the Lord our God.

Sunday ( April 18, 2010)

The Group updates the Blogsite, we had also a meeting for the upcoming out of town on April 21 with regards to the celebration of the "EARTH DAY 2010" in Tampakan, Tupi South Cotabato. This would be our preparation for the real field works in the world of media especially in Radio Broadcasting. All of us are excited for the event, since it is our first time to cover such big occasion. We are expecting that this event would bring us into a broader understanding in the field of Media.

Saturday ( April 17, 2010)

We had our brief meeting after the Rosary. We were also given some discussion about how the technical department of the station works. After that, we prepared for the TALAKAYAN (Tingog Sa Kabatan-unan, Alang Sa Kabag- uhan). We had our brainstorming of questions that will be raised on the said program. We became part of the TALAKAYAN for this day.

Friday ( April 16, 2010)

The groups had meetings to follow up the tasks to be done. There was also an event in the family country homes so one member from each team attended it with Fr. Angel. Fr. Angel also conducted a discussion on how to interview properly and the aim and purpose of having an interview. Before the day ended, we have passed our gathered news for evening and morning news.

Thursday ( April 15. 2010)

Each group has monitored the technical department for signing in and off of the station. Also two of our members from each group were assigned to be with father angel for the celebration of 10th annual anniversary of their Patron San Vicente Ferrer in Brgy. Katangawan. We continued to gather news for the evening and morning news the following day.

THE CHRONICLES

Wednesday ( April 14, 2010)

This is our first day of our on the Job Training. We have been oriented on what we are going to do within ten days. We have also discussed our time table. We have been divided into two groups. One is ENIGMA and the other is PANUKAD. In this day, we have been assigned to gather news.
